This girls tracks have been on repeat on my iPod ever since I heard her Radio 1 Essential Mix in Summer of last year. She was my pick for best emerging artist of last year, and it sounds like we can expect a album from her this year according to Mixmag.
I just recently heard about this young dude, and I have nothing but love for him. The music he is coming out with is fresh and the now. His album 'Glass Swords' has a bunch of good tracks on there, my favs are 'Surph', 'Ultra Thiz' & 'After Light'. Check out his Souncloud and keep an eye on this kid in 2012.
I am def not much of a Skrillex fan anymore, since all the hype i think he has turned to a more glitchy side that just doesn't jive with me. But today i woke up to the release of his new Bangarang EP and I gave it a quick listen...and then the last track hit me. It reminds me of my favorite Skrillex track from his first album "My Name Is Skrillex" titled "With You Friends", and with some Ellie Goulding vocals this track is a definite winner in my books.
I believe that this young D&B producer will be the next big thing in the D&B scene, and I pick him as best emerging D&B artist of 2011. His tracks are inspiring, raw and a breath of fresh air.
This compilation album has been a long time coming. Hospital Records has always been the bible for me since 2001 when i first got into D&B. They bring that feel good D&B to another level and always have just enough bass to make you loose your mind. If the next decade of Hospital is as good as this last decade, then I for one wouldn't be happier. This whole album is loaded with bangers VIP's etc, etc. Def look out for Royalston over the next few years, he is my pick for best emerging D&B artist...I will probably do a post on him soon.
Celebrating fifteen years in the ride, Hospital Records bring you fifteen brand new, unreleased tracks from artists new and old, plus a “History Of Hospital” mix from Cyantific on disc two. Bringing together a superb collection of VIPs, remixes and original material, the “Fifteen Years Of Hospital Records” album provides a comprehensive overview of the label’s past, present and future.
Featuring VIPs of beloved classics from Hospital past from label stalwarts such as High Contrast’s “If We Ever” and London Elektricity’s “Song In The Key Of Knife”, high profile remixes from Netsky and Nu:Tone plus new offerings from Logistics, Danny Byrd, Camo & Krooked and more, disc one is jam packed with Hospital’s heroes and offers an eclectic insight into Hospital present. New talents S.P.Y, Royalston and Fred V & Grafix also get a look in, bringing us the cutting edge sounds of Hospital future.
On disc two, Cyantific’s 30-track “History Of Hospital” mix provides a sweeping panorama of the last decade and a half and charts Hospital’s progression from humble origins to the behemoth the label is now. The mix was debuted as a “Fifteen Years” mix at Hospitality Brixton back in April and now finally sees the light of day as a release. A history lesson into Hospital’s past for those who weren’t there and a trip down memory lane for those who were, Cyantific draws deep into his record box for forgotten gems alongside modern classics and old favourites for a rollercoaster ride into the past.
An essential collector’s item for any true Hospital fan, the “Fifteen Years Of Hospital Records” is a celebration not only of the label but of all the artists and the music that the last fifteen years have brought as we look forward to the next fifteen years! - Hospital Records
